Description

All referrals to CAMHS come through Mauri Oho, Single Point of Access and are triaged by this centralised team to decide whether an acute or non-acute response is required or if the needs could be best met through primary care and NGOs.  Core functions of the team include regular screening, triage,  culturally informed crisis assessments for newly presenting tamariki and rangatahi and early identification of clinical pathways prior to allocation into the wider CAMHS teams (Taunaki or Te Puawaitanga) if required.
