Is Your Drinking Okay?

The Is Your Drinking Okay? test can help you find out more about your level of risk from your drinking. Just complete the questionnaire and it will automatically add up your score and tell you what it means. It's that easy!

Take the test and find out if your drinking is okay.

This test is based on an international standard audit tool. It has been designed to gauge how much you drink and how you drink. The quiz asks when you last had a drink, how often you drink and it asks some questions about drinking behaviour. It also asks whether others have been concerned about your drinking.

This is an easy and quick way to get some straightforward feedback about your drinking and whether your drinking is potentially harmful.

Drug Help

This website has been made for people who are concerned about how drugs are affecting their lives – whether it’s because of their own use or because someone close to them has a problem.

The stories you will hear are told by people who have used drugs. They are everyday New Zealanders whose drug taking has impacted on their lives.

Through the experiences of others, you will find there is hope for change.

Alcohol and Pregnancy: An Educational Resource for Health Professionals

Pregnancy & Alcohol Cessation Toolkit - An Education Resource for Health Professionals

A collaborative project between Alcohol Healthwatch and the University of Otago, funded by the Ministry of Health.

This resource aims to improve health professional’s consultation confidence and competence to optimise the implementation of the Ministry of Health’s practical guide on alcohol and pregnancy.

In 2010 the New Zealand Ministry of Health produced a guide for healthcare professionals engaging with clients on the topic of drinking during pregnancy and the associated risk: “Alcohol and pregnancy: A practical guide for health professionals.”

To facilitate the capability of health professionals to have these consultations in everyday clinical practice ‘The Pregnancy and Alcohol Cessation Toolkit' an educational resource for Health Professionals' has been developed.

EXPERTISE: The Toolkit has been developed by members of a Working Group comprised of experts in Addiction Medicine, Midwifery, General Practice including Practice Nursing, Paediatrics, Psychiatry and Public Health and through consultation with a broad range of key stakeholders organisations in the health sector
