Fees and Charges Description

There are no fees for services to public patients if you are lawfully in New Zealand and meet one of the eligibility criteria set by the Ministry of Health. If you do not meet the criteria, you will be required to pay for the full cost of any medical treatment you receive during your stay.

Manaaki Kakano - Maternal and Infant Mental Health Service provides free clinical assessment, therapeutic interventions, and support to women and their partners struggling with their mental health related to pregnancy, birth, and the first year of parenting an infant. The service includes access to psychological therapies, psychiatric reviews, nurses and social workers. The team work closely with Lead Maternity Carer (LMC)s and General Practitioners (GPs) to provide specialist input for moderate to severe mental health concerns where there is a risk of impact on the mother-baby bond
