Patients referred for admission to the inpatient Adult General Rehabilitation service after an acute episode are assessed by a rehabilitation consultant or rehabilitation registrar to determine the appropriateness of their admission to the service.  Patients may be referred from other services in Counties Manukau Health, including the community services as well as from other DHBs for CMH eligible patients.
