Birthcare is a primary maternity hospital for birthing and postnatal care. We provide free support, care and education to mothers, babies and their families. You can choose to have your baby at Birthcare, or transfer to Birthcare from another hospital for your postnatal stay.

We have two modern, purpose-built primary maternity hospitals – one in Auckland and one in Huntly.

At Birthcare we offer a wide range of high-quality services to support mums, dads, family and whānau throughout your maternity journey.

We have a proud history of offering mums, dads and babies the very best of care and putting our people (our guests and staff) first.

Maternity care services provided by Birthcare include:

  • pregnancy, birth and parenting education
  • facility and midwife support for labour and birth
  • postnatal inpatient care
  • lactation consultancy
  • breast pump hire

Tours of Birthcare Auckland are run on Thursdays at 2:30pm and Saturdays at 2:00pm and 2:30pm. No appointment is necessary. No tours are held on weekends or public holidays.
