The primary test for cervical screening (previously called a “smear” test) has changed to a human papillomavirus (HPV) test, with the option of self-testing.

- consumers
- cervical screening workforce
- Primary Health Organisations
- General Practices
- independent service providers
- other cervical screening stakeholders (e.g. colposcopy services and laboratory services)
- National Cervical Screening Programme (NCSP).
