Our postnatal staff are all registered midwives or nurses. They have a strong commitment to supporting you to establish breastfeeding. We aim to provide a restful and stress-free environment. Care will be provided to suit your individual requirements. The usual length of stay is for two nights, or longer if your midwife considers it necessary.

If you give birth at Waitākere, North Shore or National Women’s Hospitals you may transfer to Helensville Birthing Centre for postnatal care.

Helensville Birthing Centre provides a free service within a community as an alternative to hospital care. It is available seven days a week, twenty four hours a day.
