Description

The Ophthalmology (Eye) Service is predominantly outpatient based. From the outpatient area the service operates a variety of clinics - medical first specialist assessment (FSA), follow-up clinics, minor eye surgery procedures, an eye acute clinic, orthoptist, low vision, electrophysiology, laser, fluorescein angiography, preadmission, nurse led clinics, the Otago Diabetic Eye Monitoring Programme and a Vitreo Retinal (VR) service.
