ARPHS provides public health services to the diverse populations of three District Health Boards of the Auckland region, namely:

  • Auckland District Health Board (ADHB)
  • Counties Manukau District Health Board (CMDHB)
  • Waitemata District Health Board (WDHB).

ARPHS is hosted by the ADHB and funded by the Ministry of Health (MOH).

ARPHS has a specialised multi-disciplinary health protection, disease investigation and health imrpovement team comprising:

  • public health physicians including Medical Officers of Health and Medical Officers
  • health protection officers
  • public health nurses
  • emergency response managers
  • policy analysts
  • health promotion practitioners
  • technical advisory staff.

Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS) aims to improve health and wellbeing among Auckland's diverse population through promotion, protection and prevention.
