Counties Manukau Health GP Liaisons

Public Service

Description

The GP liaison team is made up of general practitioners who work in the Counties Manukau area. They are employed by Counties Manukau Health to work with and between general practice and hospital services as a source of advice, a conduit, and a primary care-focused voice. They may also take leading roles in the development of initiatives that closely affect or are based in general practice, and ensure that a general practice perspective is represented in as many areas as possible within the district health board.

Individual GP liaisons have specific areas of the hospital that they work with. Full details and contact information for each of the GP Liaisons at Counties Manukau Health is available on this page to all primary care health professionals once logged on to Healthpoint.

If you would like information about visiting a GP, see the Healthpoint website.

New platform Medinz to replace e-update for Primary Care

A new primary care communications platform is being launched by Counties Manukau Health to make it easier for GPs, pharmacists and urgent care centres to receive timely and accurate information. The platform, known as Medinz, has been developed in conjunction with Healthpoint to ensure it is easy-to-use and responsive to your needs. You will soon be invited to register free-of-charge to receive critical, urgent and routine information from Counties Manukau Health that will assist you in the care of your patients. Labtests and Auckland Regional Public Health Service (ARPHS) will also be publishing information on Medinz, with other publishers expected to follow soon.

We're in the process of transitioning to the platform. We will go live with Medinz in early May. We will update you once we've completely moved to this platform and discontinue this e-update.
