Public Service

Description

Kia Wana Lakes Baby Service aims to provide a maternal and child health co-ordination service that acts as a single point of entry for all health providers and whānau. This intergrated approach allows easy access to services and collaboration amoungst key providers so that, together, we are able to provide high quality care to all women within the Lakes Region.

Our services include:

Breastfeeding support is provided by our lactation consultants.

In Turangi, we run a breastfeeding support group at Awhi House every Tuesday. This group provides information and support or just the opportunity to hang out with some awesome mums who are trying to give their young ones a great start in life. The group is supported by a lactation consultant.
