Children's Dayward

The Children's Dayward is for elective daycase procedures for children from birth to 16 years. We see children for surgery and medical procedures such as transfusions, growth tests and sedation.
Children also attend the dayward for outpatient visits for a variety of tests such as venipuncture, ph probe insertion and skin testing.

Ward 2 provides the shared care paediatric oncology daystay service for children of all ages in conjunction with Christchurch as the tertiary provider.

The Child Acute Assessment Unit (CAAU) Wellington is located in the Children's Dayward.
