Childrens Outpatients Clinics

General children's outpatient clinics are held at the 3 main sites:

Wellington Hospital

We run general and specialty clinics e.g. Epilepsy, Endocrine, Renal and Diabetes. We also have visiting specialists from other centres e.g. Paediatric Neurology.

Clinic hours are 8am - 4pm (excluding public holidays).

Children attend the Children’s Outpatient Department for outpatient procedures and tests such as venipuncture, ph probe insertion and skin testing.

Please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment so that your child can be measured and be ready for the doctor. Please bring along your child’s Well Child Tamariki Ora Health book, any previous clinic letters from other health professionals (not from CCDHB) and all the medications and creams your child is using.

Kenepuru Hospital and Kapiti Health Centre

Where possible, patients will be given an appointment in their nearest clinic. Some services such as skin prick testing (for allergies) and X-rays are not available at Kapiti, so if it is likely a child will need these investigations then she/he will be booked to a clinic at Kenepuru Hospital instead.

Please ensure you arrive at least 10 minutes before your appointment so that your child can be measured and be ready for the doctor.
