Profile
Dr Peace Tamuno graduated from medical school in Donetsk, Ukraine in 1995. In 2000, he moved to the UK where he trained in the NHS and obtained the MRCP qualification, and a post graduate certificate in clinical education at Leeds University. He relocated to New Zealand and joined the dual (Cardiology/General Medicine) training programme at Waikato Hospital in 2010.
Dr Tamuno currently works as a Cardiologist/ General Physician, and is the clinical lead for Cardiology at Te Whatu Ora Lakes. He is experienced in the assessment and management of a wide range of cardiovascular pathologies, including coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, heart failure, hypertension and cardiac arrhythmias. He has particular interest in non-invasive diagnostic cardiac imaging, and is accredited with the Australasian committee for CT coronary angiography.
