Description

The Louise Nicholas Trust and her National Sexual Violence Survivor Advocate team provide support and advocacy for survivors of sexual violence and help navigate court and social services.

They help:

  • survivors navigate New Zealand's complicated court and social services system, when survivors feel vulnerable and hurt
  • influence and change the system through legislation and government policy, and by changing community attitudes.

Louise and her team are trusted, neutral, fearless people who have experienced sexual violence. They are funded by the Ministry of Justice and ACC.

Advocacy for Sexual harm survivors

Louise and her team have vast experience with a wide network of people within the justice system. They have many years experience supporting survivors through the court process as well as social services agencies. They authentically walk alongside the survivor, their whānau and support them in a very real way. The approach is unique and has been the driving reason Louise has remained an independent service. To access advocacy services, please contact Louise at louise.advocate@gmail.com or 021 326 505.
