Counselling
START provides recovery support counselling and information in a safe-space for anyone who has experienced sexual violence at any time in their lives. We help to address the psychological and emotional harm impacts on the victim/survivor. We offer information and support for the victim's family/whānau and the wider community regarding sexual abuse.
We are an ACC Sensitive Claims provider and if eligible for this, all face-to-face counselling is FREE. Phone and face-to-face consultations, including family/whānau support are also FREE. If ineligible for ACC counselling cover, costs can be negotiated.
How to Access:
For counselling and support following sexual violence call (03) 355 4414 or fill out a referral form from the website and START will consider the appropriate care required.
