A specialist medical service for anybody over the age of 13 who has been sexually assaulted or abused, recently or in the past.

Description:

Our team are specially trained by the national organisation, Medical Sexual Assault Clinicians Aotearoa (MEDSAC), providing confidential, sensitive care and assistance to people who have been sexually assaulted and need a personal health check.  

A Case Worker can provide adolescents with confidential support and assistance. A crisis support worker can provide adults with confidential support and assistance.

How to Access:

The quickest way to get a health examination after a sexual assault is to phone Christchurch Police urgently on (03) 363 7400.  Our team will provide a 24-hour on-call service for urgent medical and forensic examinations.

If you would like to talk to someone from our service during office hours, call us on (03) 366 0067.  You can call us yourself or any person you choose can contact us. If you would like somebody from our service to give you a call, please complete the call back request form with your details.
