Kia Haumaru - Personal Safety Education is a network of trained and accredited Personal Safety Educators equipping women, girls and persons of marginalised genders with the skills and strategies to keep safe.

Most courses are run through schools and other community organisations.

The network works predominately with women. We have teachers from a range of cultural and ethnic backgrounds and are able to work with gender and sexual minorities.

Age: 7 years and over.

Region: All of Aotearoa. Teachers can travel to any area, dependent on availability.

Description: Courses are flexible and tailored to the following groups' needs:-

  • Education providers, Community groups, Workplaces
  • Women and Girls - Girls, Teenagers, Mothers and Daughters, Adults, Disability and Tertiary
  • Rainbow groups.
