Resource recovery and zero waste ...
- working to create a fully regenerating Mangere Otahuhu through minimising waste of people or resources.
- provide timetrading opportunities
- link families to essential items through resource recovery
Talking Rubbish is about the opportunity we take to build our legacy from the resources contained in the materials and parts of the community that tend to get discarded. Waste Regeneration support for our community, our Te Puna Oranga space; to educate, enable and empower the community to reduce and reuse waste, grow food and reconnect with our environment; Micro-business support for families to help them better control their income; a Resource Recovery Room for recovering, repurposing and recycling unwanted items and materials; the Mangere Men’s Shed to provide support and give new meaning to people’s lives; Behind the Wheel, to support people to get their driver’s licenses- this is what Talking Rubbish at ME is all about.
