MOSAIC provides support for male survivors of sexual, child and IPV abuse including a 24/7 Confidential Listening Service, counselling and peer support.

Ages: Males of all ages

Region: Greater Wellington Region: Wellington City, Hutt Valley, Porirua, Kapiti Coast, Wairarapa

Description: Our purpose is to empower male survivors of sexual abuse in their recovery process.

24/7 Confidential Listening Service: Survivors and their loved ones can contact us by phone, text, email or Skype, from anywhere in New Zealand, to talk in complete confidence with someone who understands.

Counselling & Therapy: Provide counselling and/or therapy men who have been affected by sexual harm. We offer ACC Sensitive Claims counselling.

One-to-One Peer Support: Peer Support is between a man who has experienced sexual trauma and an experienced, trained Peer Support facilitator who has also experienced abuse.

Peer Support Group Meetings: An opportunity to meet other men who have experienced similar sexual abuse trauma in a safe-space.  Validation from other men is very empowering for recovering survivors and healing works well with others.  No details of individuals' abuse is discussed, that is what you do with your counsellor or therapist.

Family & Partner Support Meetings:  Couples and parents support sessions; and we hold support groups for partners themselves where the survivors are not present.

Advocacy and Support: We support people making complaints with Police, from initial statement through to court process. We support clients to register with ACC Sensitive Claims.
