The objectives of East Auckland Pacific Wardens are:

  1. to contribute to the prevention of crime and victimisation in the local community of Tamaki and wider Auckland Metropolitan area
  2. to patrol and be the "eyes" and the "ears" of the Police and the Council in working collaboratively to:
  • identify hot spots
  • maintain peace and harmony within the community
  • help with reduction of youth offending especially Pacific
  • prevent vandalism
  • address safety of people
  • identify and prevent crime before it takes place.

We are patrolling every Friday night on our own and sometimes alongside the Police. We are looking at extending to more nights and days. We mainly cover our Tamaki Area and Central East. We help patrol at local community events like Xmas parade, Matariki, sports clubs, church events and Police & Council events like "Pasifika Festival".
