CAYAD work is informed by evidence including local, cultural and academic knowledge and includes a major focus on developing and mobilizing local capacity, capability and leadership to better utilize existing resources to reduce drug related harm. Services aim to: Help reduce harm to young people and their whānau from illicit drugs and alcohol Help support communities to find innovative and inspiring ways to make a difference for young people and their whānau Help create community based change towards specific social and environmental policy objectives Help increase local capacity to support young people in education, employment and recreation Help reduce the supply of alcohol and other drugs to young people Help inform and develop resources to reduce drug and alcohol related harm
