We offer rangatahi and whānau services supporting rangatahi to be active in their communities, achieve in education, culturally connected and engage with whānau.

Rangatahi & Whānau Support Services : Whare Manawa Ora

  • Whānau Ora

Working with 13 to 24-year-olds and whānau to plan and support them to achieve their goals and aspirations.

  • Mentoring

Matching a mentor with a person to support and upskill. 

  • Whānau Advocate

To facilitate hui-a-whānau; developing a whānau plan that restores mauri ora.

  • Rotorua Community Safer Families Network

Co-ordination of networking, training and development, activities for the frontline practitioners within the community.

  • Whānau Wellness Services

In partnership with the Police offering the whole whānau interventions, support and links to required services.

  • Transition to Adulthood

Supporting young people from Oranga Tamariki care to adulthood with a full wrap around service.

  • Tu Ariki Ai Whānau Resilience

Working with key stakeholders in the family harm space through wananga to provide a healthy, safe space for whānau using Te Ao Māori, Te Arawa kaupapa and the Taiao as the vehicle for change.

  • Community Connector

Supporting whānau with immediate needs and connecting whānau with appropriate services. The service also assists with recovery from Covid.

  • Fast Track

Working with rangatahi aged 10 to 14 years to create better pathways. Work in partnership with Oranga Tamariki and Youth Aid.

Events & Activities : Whare Manawa Wera

  •  Okareka Outdoor Centre

The Okareka Outdoor Centre is based at Boyes Beach, Lake Okareka and offer team building activities, waka, kayaking & paddling for schools, corporate and international visitors.

  • Waka Ama/Waka Tete/Kopapa

Paddling events and opportunities to suit all ages and experience.

  • Cultural Journey

Creates a safe place in the outdoors for rangatahi to identify culture and whānau with awareness around the taiao.

  • Te Arawa Journey

A programme held over 6 weekends offering strength based experiences and activities - mai Maketu ki Tongariro for youth aged 10 to 15.

  • Hinemoa Water Safety

A four-day water safety program, teaching tamariki water safety on our lakes & moana. Te Arawa stories around wai.
