Our Kaupapa is to empower and support whanau-ora (wellness) for those who choose to live free from violence and abuse in all its forms.

Te Whare Oranga Wairua Maori Women's Refuge provides free and confidential services as listed below-

  • Intervention Services: Community Support and Advocacy - with Courts, Police, Immigration, Government social agencies such as Child Youth and Family (CYF); and Work and Income (WINZ) - Counselling - Alternative Healing
  • Crisis Intervention Services: - 24/7 Information & Advice - Assessment for entry into safe housing escaping or witnessing Domestic Violence - Residential Safe Housing 
  • Domestic Violence Education Programmes for Wahine, Tane & Tamariki
  • 24/7 Crisis Line: 0800 Refuge - 0800 733 843 - Prompt response
