GP practice - enrolled and casual patients

This practice provides Covid-19 testing to enrolled and casual patients. We provide covid swabs for Cold like symptoms, surveillence, screening and PRE-TRAVEL testing. 

Ring reception on ph (09) 623 6234 to organise an appointment time for covid-19 swabs.

On arrival stay in your car and ring the reception to inform them you have arrived. The doctor,nurse will come to your car to collect the swab.

Testing for International Travel

This clinic provides pre-departure testing for people who are travelling. Please call 09623-6234 to book an appointment.

Description

Welcome to our EDEN EPSOM PRACTICE. We are an AWARD WINNING PRACTICE having been awarded  Procare PHO Excellence Awards in 2015, 2016, 2018, 2022 and 2023

Dr Diana Good and her Associate Dr Kevin Gabriel are experienced General Practitioners and are Fellows of the Royal NZ College of GPs. We offer full family healthcare in Epsom.

There is onsite parking and roadside parking next to the practice on Arcadia Rd, Epsom.

We will see all unwell children on the day and any adult who feels they have an urgent health issue that contacts the practice by 3pm.

 

Diana has the Diploma of Obstetrics (maternity care)

and the Certificate of Dermoscopy (skin cancer detection).

Diana was an elected member on the New Zealand Medical Association GP committee.

For many years she held the role of Director of Primary Care (Women's Health) for Auckland District Health Board.

Diana sat on:

  • Metropolitan Auckland Cervical Screening Clinical Governance Group
  • Northern Region Fertility Services Governance Group
  • Pregnancy and First Year of Life Advisory Group
  • Mortality Review Group

Diana has held an Honorary Academic appointment at the University of Auckland teaching medical students. She has previously worked for 5 years for The Royal New Zealand College of General Practice (RNZCGP) as a Medical Educator of GPs. 

Kevin is an experienced GP who is passionate about evidence based care in an empathetic manner.

He graduated from Akl University and has the Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology as well as the Diploma in Paediatrics.

He is presently employed by The Royal College of General Practice (RNZCGP) as an exam writer and medical educator of GP registrars.

He is the author and editor of NZGP Web Directory, a medical reference for GPs.

This practice is enrolling new patients.

Dr Good's practice is almost at capacity. She will be enroling a small number of people each month , when able, and you will need to live locally to the Practice. This is to ensure we can give a high level of service to those already enrolled in the Practice. The receptionist can help you with this.

A $10 surcharge applies to Saturday consultations for clients over 6 years of age and $20 for CSC card holders.

Fees for dressings and material used, referrals, medical certificates and completion of forms apply. 

Standard consultations are 15 minutes. Extended consultations attract an increased fee.

Travel consultations are not subsidised by Ministry of Health.

Please note that it can take up to 5 weeks for your funding to become available from Ministry Of Health. The first consultation will be charged at the unenrolled price if the funding has not been made available by Ministry of Health. Subsequent consultations will be at the funded price.

Casual Fees for Non NZ Residents (not entitled to Ministry of Health funding)
$105.00   with $10.00 surcharge on Saturday

Payment is to be made at the time of consultation. There is a $7.00 administration fee for unpaid accounts. Accounts are not available for casual patients and non NZ residents.

Missed appointments may be charged a full fee or a $35.00 fee if the appointment is cancelled with less than 2 hours notice.

Email correspondance is handled as time allows and can take several days to be responded to. If you have an urgent issue please ring reception.

After Hours:

Phone the practice on ph 6236234 a nurse will be available for advise. 
During the Xmas break 23/12/2023-7/1/2024 repeat prescriptions , where appropriate, can be ordered through the partient portal on Manage My Health. Virtual consultations will be available from CareHQ. Urgent onsite appointments will be available at Remuera Doctors ph 5246504 or White Cross Accident and Medical Centres.

The practice offers RAT and PCR swabs for people with cold like symptoms or family contacts as well as PRE-TRAVEL covid testing. Please ring for details.
