Dr Thwaites is an experienced GP with over 25 years of clinical practice.
She grew up in Southland and trained in Medicine at the Otago Medical School.
She is a Fellow of the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners (RNZCGP).
Lynda has done postgraduate training in Paediatrics and enjoys all aspects of family medicine, in particular forming relationships with patients that can span many years.
Recently she has returned to the South Island after working in General Practice & various hospitals & clinic’s in Auckland.
Lynda has also worked in Emergency Care in New Zealand and Australia.
Now at Alexandra Family Medical, she is enjoying working in rural General Practice with a great team of doctor’s, nurses, & administrative staff.
Lynda loves the beauty of Central Otago and the outdoor lifestyle that it offers.
