Getting a COVID-19 vaccine is an important step you can take to protect yourself, your kaumātua and whānau from the effects of the virus. For more information on the COVID-19 vaccines and eligibility visit Ministry of Health - COVID-19 vaccines

The majority of routine vaccinations can now be administered before, after, or at the same time as your COVID-19 vaccinations. The exception to this is the Zostavax (shingles) vaccine where a 7-day gap before or after receiving the Pfizer COVID-19 is advised. If you have any questions, please discuss with your health provider.

We require bookings into our Covid Vaccination clinic - use Myindici portal https://myindici.co.nz/Account/Login or ring surgery 09 3786827 or email receptionglfmc@gmail.com

Our medical centre is your entry to the healthcare system. We endeavour to care for the whole person and deliver medical services in a personal way. We encourage you to develop a relationship with one doctor. As a medical practice committed to the local community, we offer you a comprehensive health service

There are new advances in healthcare being made all the time. As a practice, we try to remain at the forefront of these advances for your benefit. Constant change in healthcare delivery has become normal for most professionals. Here we give some examples of the new innovations and areas of expertise we are developing so that we might improve our service to you.

We are able to enrol new patients for long term care - generally this will be with Dr Deo, Dr Rance and Dr Hefford. Casual patient appointments are very restricted however we endeavour to assist visiting relatives of enrolled patients and have an arrangement for our nurses to test and treat children with sore throats at increased risk of rheumatic fever.

Women's Healthcare
Practice nurses Charlotte, Janet, Hannah, Haley and Jo have done training in women’s health so that they can provide a personal service including smears and breast checks or family planning and sexual health advice.

Asthma Care
Additional annual review nurse check is available.

Diabetes Care
Diabetic annual checks are part of our enhanced service for those people with diabetes. In conjunction with Procare Network Auckland PHO, we aim to reduce the morbidity and heart disease risk for this group. This has already shown benefits to our patients who have better access than ever before to professional advice.

Cardiovascular Risk Screening
Ask about a CVD risk assessment [age 35 plus]. Our computer shares your [non-identifiable] risk factors, family history, cholesterol and blood pressure results etc with specialist research computer software which provides advice for reduction in cardiovascular risk.
