Description

Dr Guy Fisher is a specialist gynaecologist and advanced laparoscopic surgeon in Auckland, with subspecialist expertise in endometriosis diagnosis and excision surgery, fibroid management, adenomyosis, and complex pelvic pain.

He is the only gynaecologist in New Zealand to hold both the AGES-accredited Advanced Endoscopic Surgery Training Program (AATP) — the highest laparoscopic surgical accreditation available in Australasia — and the Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU) through the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine. He is accredited at AGES Level 6, the highest surgical tier, covering complex and Stage IV endometriosis including disease involving the bowel, bladder, and deep pelvic structures.

This unique combination allows Dr Fisher to perform expert-level pelvic ultrasound directly within consultations, enabling accurate diagnosis and surgical mapping of endometriosis, fibroids, and adenomyosis without the need for multiple external investigations.

Dr Fisher consults at Fertility Associates, Ascot Central, Remuera, Auckland, where he provides integrated fertility care combining endometriosis and gynaecological management with IVF and assisted reproduction. He also holds a public hospital appointment at Middlemore Hospital (Te Whatu Ora Counties Manukau), where he has been appointed to develop and lead a new Gynaecology Assessment Unit and forms part of the specialist endometriosis team.

Dr Fisher combines technical expertise with a calm, thoughtful approach to care, emphasising clear communication, shared decision-making, and treatment plans tailored to each patient’s individual needs.
