Frank Wurmitzer is an orthopaedic surgeon practicing in Timaru and Hawke’s Bay. His Timaru private practice is located at Aorangi Surgical Group and he has operating rights at Bidwill Trust Hospital. He is also employed by Health New Zealand and works at Timaru Public Hospital. In Hawke’s Bay Frank consults under Te Mata Orthopaedics in Hastings at Kaweka Specialist Centre and and operates at Kaweka Hospital.
Frank’s practice covers most aspects of orthopaedics including joint replacements of major joints, sport orthopaedics and trauma, arthroscopies and shoulder/elbow/hand/knee/foot surgery.
Additionally, Frank is a medical examiner grade 1 for the Civil Aviation Authority of New Zealand and Australia and performs medicals for pilots and air traffic controllers.
