Waitemata DHB Physiotherapy - Outpatients Clinic
Active rehabilitation for physical impairment where there is the potential for improvement / change :
- movement, exercise and physical activity to help strengthen weak muscles, loosen stiff joints and mobilise patients with the aim of returning to the optimal level of function possible
- education, advice and coaching about things that can affect your daily lives, such as posture and correct lifting or carrying techniques to help prevent injuries
- Mobility and balance training
- Amputees, and patients with neurological and vestibular (including BPPV) conditions with rehabilitation potential.
Pulmonary Rehabilitation Programme. Education and strategies for management of respiratory conditions, such as COPD, Bronchiectasis and Disordered Breathing.
Lymphoedema Physiotherapy: Education, exercise and provision of compression therapy/garments if appropriate to manage primary and secondary lymphoedema across the lifespan.
Pre and postnatal physiotherapy management (for up to 6 weeks postnatally).
