Auckland DHB Mobile Ear Clinics (Children), Starship Community Service
The ear nurse service is available to all children living in the Auckland District Health Board area.
Area Covered: The area is bordered by Point Chevalier, Avondale, Blockhouse Bay, Ōtāhuhu, Mt Wellington, Glen Innes, The Eastern Bays and The Gulf Islands. (A map of the area covered can be downloaded - see "Document Downloads" below.)
Services provided by Mobile Ear Clinics are:
- Glue ear assessment and management
- Wax/foreign-body removal
- Grommet checks
- Treatment of discharging ear(s)
Referral Expectations
Who Can Refer: General Practitioners and other health professionals.
