Description
Child Health Services at Lakes DHB provide paediatric services for children 0 - 14 years old. Services are provided at Rotorua Hospital, Taupō Hospital and Rotorua Children's Health Hub.
Paediatric Inpatient Services provide treatment to children or babies with acute illnesses or provide scheduled procedures by appointment. Inpatient services are delivered within the:
- Children's Unit & Early Childhood Centre (Rotorua Hospital) and via
- Special Care Baby Unit (Rotorua Hospital)
Paediatric Outpatient Services provide secondary paediatric services for children 0-17 years.
(Rotorua Hospital, Taupō Hospital and Children's Health Hub)
Children's Outreach Specialist Nursing Service provides care and support for unwell children and families/whānau in the community.
(Rotorua and Taupō)
Child Development Team provides an assessment and therapy service for children with developmental issues.
(Rotorua Children's Health Hub)
Community based services are provided by Lakes Kids Community Health.
